Spurlock search continues in Kentucky River

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The search continues for missing Richmond mother, Savannah Spurlock.

The Cajun Coast Search and Rescue Team from Louisiana joined the search on Monday

On Saturday, the search team and volunteers started looking in the Kentucky River and covered a few miles within an hour.

The search team had two boats and a trained search dog.

During the search, the commander says there was no indication Spurlock was in the river.

“We went down the river a little ways to see if the dog would pick up anything but there was no indication at all so we’re going to mark this as cleared so we don’t have to come back to it,” said Toney Wade, Commander.

Wade says his team will regroup and determine their next search spot.
