Spring fever is real in the week ahead

Lexington, Kentucky (WTVQ – ABC 36): Good Sunday evening everyone, spring fever is in high alert for Kentucky with temperatures again today into the upper 50s to low 60s with plenty of sunshine. If you are a fan of these above average temperatures you are in luck because we have more of the same for the week ahead. Monday and Tuesday are both pretty much the exact same with low temperatures starting into the upper 20s to low 30s and afternoon high temperatures into the upper 40s to low 50s under a partly sunny sky.

Wednesday and Thursday are both very similar as well with temperatures coming up and more in the way of clouds. Each morning will feature temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s and each afternoon will feature highs in the low to mid 50s.

Changes show up Thursday night – Friday in the form of rain and thunderstorms with temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s by Friday afternoon.
Temperatures stay mild and above average through Valentines Day.
We have been talking for several days on how we are likely to see a big pattern flip back to winter mid to late month and that still looks to be the case. The temperature outlook for the days after Valentines Day turns below average.
