LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington business known for having major UK athletes stop by for signings is focused on giving back and moving forward following a recent burglary.
Wednesday night, a man broke into Jimmy’s Kentucky Roadshow Shop, stealing several boxes of sealed memorabilia cards.
This is the second time this year the store has been burglarized. The store was broken into in April as well.
However, rather than feeling defeated, the store decided to give back to the community. The store gave out cards and signed pictures to visitors to provide good memories to focus on.
Those at the shop want to encourage the hobby rather than dwell on the negativity.
“So, that day after the break-in, it was just business as usual,” said store manager Trey Huntsman. “We just wanted to have that day as kind of a day of giving, to help each other rather than focusing on something negative.”
The shop said it is upgrading security in response to the break-in.
