Spectrum to raise rates beginning in January
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Most Spectrum customers in Lexington can expect a bigger bill starting in January.
The internet and cable company has sent a letter to the city of Lexington announcing a rate increase.
“Like most businesses, Charter faces rising costs that require occasional price adjustments,” the company states in the letter. “As a result, customers will be notified of the following price adjustments reflected in the attached table on or after January 2018.”
Charter is locally known as Spectrum.
According to the table it sent the city, these are the rates customers will pay starting in January:

Spectrum has come under fire by the city of Lexington after it says complaints by customers about their cable and internet service tripled after Spectrum took over the market earlier this year.
In October, the city gave the company 30 days to resolve the issues or face a fine.
