Son Of Just Identified Lexington Homicide Victim Charged In Gas Station Robbery

Investigators said the son of a just identified homicide victim, whose body parts were found in two different counties along the Kentucky River, was arrested in connection to a gas station robbery in Harrison County.

Zachariah Massey, 24, of Cynthiana, was accused of robbing a gas station in Cynthiana, according to investigators.

He was lodged in the Bourbon County Detention Center.

Massey’s mother, Goldia Massey, 50, of Lexington, was identified Friday as a homicide victim.

She was reported missing by her son on October 1, 2014, according to investigators.

Later that same month, a human arm was found in the Kentucky River in Henry County.

On December 6, 2014, a human torso was found in the Kentucky River in Jessamine County.

Tests revealed both body parts belonged to Goldia Massey, and that it appeared she had been deliberately dismembered, according to the Jessamine County coroner.

Her death was under investigation by police.
