Solid Blue fans flood State Street after win
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Solid Blue fans invaded State Street following the Cats victory over Houston in the Sweet Sixteen.
Police were there in riot gear to keep things under control.
Two people were arrested, one on State Street and another on Forrest Park.
Two people were taken to the hospital.
Police say crowds started leaving State Street around 2 a.m. as street sweepers arrived.
“It’s iconic. It’s what Kentucky does. When we win, we just party,” said one Solid Blue fan.
