Solid Blue Fans cheer on the Cats on a sports filled Friday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- With two big games Friday, Solid Blue fans have been packing restaurants and bars across Lexington.

Employees at Tin Roof tell me there was actually a line of people waiting outside the doors here to get in when they opened at 11 a.m.

Employees say they had a huge crowd for what ended up being a blowout victory for UK’s basketball team against cross state rival Louisville.

After a little bit of a breather, employees say the crowds came back for round two to cheer on their wildcats football team taking on Northwestern in the Music City Bowl down in Nashville.

Many of the fans here say a day like this is unlike any other, being able to watch two big games for two different UK teams back to back.

For those that are working, while they it’s been a little crazy to say the least they love the atmosphere inside the restaurant on big game-day’s like this.

“Yeah its a really fun lively atmosphere. Servers are making cocktails and not just waiting on tables so we stay pretty busy. It gets kind of rowdy in here sometimes during the game but it’s a lot of fun to work,” said Paige Geary, a server at Tin Roof.
