“Sock Hat Bandit” indicted
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – On July 9, the man known as the “Sock Hat Bandit” was federally indicted, for three counts of bank robbery in Kentucky.
Police say Brian M. Parnell was captured by the Covington Police after fleeing from a robbery at Fifth Third Bank in Independence, Kentucky on June 18.
Parnell was initially accused of robbing ten banks in Kentucky, and police say he admitted to nine of them.
FBI reports Parnell is currently being indicted for the May 22 robbery of Hebron’s U.S. Bank, the June 1 robbery of Fifth Third Bank in Bellevue, and the June 18th robbery in Independence.
