SNAP Assistance Program Will See Drop In Benefits

Kentuckians who get help from the supplemental nutrition assistance program will see a drop in their benefits.

The program was receiving funding from the federal government, but congress voted not to extend the benefits.

The Kentucky Cabinet of Health and Family services say the decrease in benefits for a two person household will likely work out to about $20 dollars a month.

People can expect to start seeing a drop in benefits this month.
