Snake takes out power in two counties

LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – More than 4,000 people were inconvenienced by one snake on Wednesday.

According to Lincoln County Emergency Management, a snake made its way into a transformer on Rice Lane in Stanford and knocked out power.

The power outage affected customers in Lincoln and Garrard counties.

Officials say it isn’t uncommon for snakes, squirrels and raccoons to cause an outage.
