Smoky Mountains Rise Benefit Airs Tuesday Evening

GATLINBURG, Tn. (WTVQ) – Country legend Dolly Parton is stepping up to help the victims of the recent historic Tennessee wildfires.

Parton is from Sevier County where at least 13 people were killed and thousands of homes and businesses were damaged or destroyed when multiple wildfires raced through the Gatlinburg area.

Parton, along with Reba McEntire, Kenny Rogers, Alison Krauss and others will perform in a telethon Tuesday night.

The three-hour event will be called Smoky Mountains Rise: A Benefit for the My People Fund.

It will air on Great American Country at 8:00 p.m.
