Small gestures show appreciation for local law enforcement

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A stack of pizzas and a handwritten note were small tokens of appreciation that meant a lot for officers in Central Kentucky.

Officers with the Mt. Sterling Police Department say they were having lunch when a little girl approached them.  The girl said she wanted to give them the note seen above, that reads “Thank you for keeping us safe.

Meanwhile, in Georgetown, officers were treated to a stack of pizzas, muffins, and fruit.


Officers thanked the community, saying the gestures made their day brighter.
