Brick veneer of building collapses; people forced from apartments

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Some people were forced from their Lexington apartments Tuesday night when the brick veneer of a building collapsed on one wall, according to the Lexington Fire Department.

Crews say it happened just before 9:30 p.m. at a building used for storage near the intersection of North Limestone and Blue Grass Avenue.

Investigators say apartments are attached to the building, so tenants were forced to leave for the night while the structural integrity of the building was assessed.
