Skull found, investigators search for clues

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Investigators in Johnson County are searching for clues to the identity of a skull found Tuesday in the driveway of a home in the Whitehouse community in the eastern part of the county.

According to a post on the department’s Facebook page at about 1 p.m. Thursday, the skull was reported Sunday. The department believes dogs carried the skull to that location.
Deputies from Johnson County and neighboring Grant County’s Search and Rescue team and K9 unit searched the area but found nothing.

The Johnson County Coroner took the human remains to the state crime lab in Frankfort for examination and possible identification.

“Currently no identification has been made and the matter is still under investigation by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office,” the post said. “We encourage anyone with information regarding any missing person to contact the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office at 606-789-3411.”
