Six People Injured In Crash On I-75 In Laurel County

Six people were injured Thursday night in a collision along I-75 in Laurel County, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said a pickup truck driver traveling southbound about seven miles north of London, lost control on the wet road, went off the interstate and slammed into the back of a service truck on the shoulder of the road.

Five people in the pickup and a mechanic from the service truck were taken to Saint Joseph Hospital London for treatment, according to the sheriff’s office.

Investigators said the service truck had pulled off onto the shoulder of the interstate to work on a tractor trailer.

All five people from the pickup were from Tazewell, Tennessee, according to the sheriff’s office.

The collision remained under investigation.
