Six people injured in crash on US 127 in Frankfort

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says a collision that resulted from hydroplaning involved six people and severely injuring one person.

The Franklin County sheriff says a small pickup hydroplaned on US 127 near Peaks Mill Road, crossed the center line, and hit a passenger car head on. There were two people in the truck and 3 people in the passenger car, plus an infant. The infant was in a car seat.

The sheriff says the driver of the truck was ejected from the car. Five of the six people were taken to UK Hospital and one stayed in Frankfort for treatment.
