Siren testing to happen Wednesday in Fayette County

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Division of emergency Management says that, with the possibility of severe weather on Thursday, and recent installation of new equipment, they will be conducting outdoor siren tests from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.

During the testing period, residents may hear sires, chimes, wails, and other tones, as well as a voice alert.

The Division of Emergency Management is alerting everyone that these are tests only, and that there is no emergency condition.
