Sheriff warns of phony delivery guy

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department is warning people to be on the lookout for a phony delivery guy.

Deputies say on Thursday night, they were called to a home along Prewitt Road in the Goldbug community for a complaint about a pizza delivery.

The person at the home said he didn’t order pizza and that the delivery person claimed to be operating for Pizza Hut.

Deputies say the Williamsburg Pizza Hut doesn’t make deliveries.

The delivery guy left without incident.

The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department says there is some cause for concern because the person falsely identified himself.

The man is described as being white, in his mid 20’s and he left in a full size, extended cab, black Ford pickup. He was wearing a red plaid shirt.
