Sheriff: Man Shoots Teen After Granddaughter Sneaks Out

State Police say a man shot a teenager then ran from police in Franklin County.

The man is behind bars but the teen is still in the hospital.

KSP said Samuel Isaacs, 55, shot a young boy several times.

They said after Isaacs shot the boy, he ran about a mile then barricaded himself on train tracks.  Deputies spent more than four hours talking Isaacs out of the standoff and he was arrested.

Franklin County Sherriff’s Deputies said Isaacs told them his granddaughter and the boy, 13, had snuck out together one night and that’s why he shot the boy.
