Coroner: Hunter died of natural causes in Clay Co.

The Clay County coroner says an autopsy by the state medical examiner shows 65-year old Daniel Chappell, of Science Hill, died of natural causes, not from the 12-foot fall from a hunting tree stand.
Investigators say Chappell had a significant medical history.
Chappell was found dead Wednesday night.

The Clay County Coroner’s Office has identified the hunter found dead on Wednesday as 65-year-old Daniel D. Chappell, of Science Hill.
The coroner says they are trying to determine if Chappell died as a result of a fall from a tree stand or the medical emergency they believe caused him to fall.
An autopsy has been requested.
CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a hunter.
The man was found on Johns Branch Road in the Sandhill community Wednesday evening.
The sheriff’s office says it appears the man fell more than 12 feet from a tree stand while hunting.
They believe he had a medically-related issue that caused him to fall.
His name has not been released but he was 60 to 65 years old and from out of town, according to the sheriff’s office.
