Sheriff: Man arrested on DUI threatens to kill Deputy
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel Co. Sheriff says that a Lily man threatened to kill a deputy while being arrested on a DUI charge.
According to the Sheriff, at about 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies received a complaint from a business that a man was trying to force his way into the building to see his ex-wife. When they got there, deputies say they found 43-year-old Patrick Graham II, sitting in his pickup drinking a beer.
Deputies say Graham was slurring, had dilated pupils, and was unsteady on his feet. After confirming Graham was the one who had tried to force entry into the business, he was taken to the Sheriff’s office to be processed.
It was there that deputies say Graham became unruly, and threatened that he would get a knife and stab one of the deputies in the throat with it. According to the Sheriff, Graham then attempted to leave the Sheriff’s Office, scuffling with a Deputy and destroying office equipment.
Graham was charged with DUI, criminal trespassing, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief, among other charges.
He was taken to the Lauren Co. Detention Center.
