Sheriff: 3 Suspects Tied Up 3 Elderly Residents in Pulaski Co.
They said the robbers targeted the homes on Valley Road just after midnight on Tuesday.
Deputies said one of the suspects made his way into 60-year-old Laurie Brown’s mobile home after telling her there were cows loose on her property. When she told him to let the owner know, he forced his way in and tied her to a bedpost with duct tape.
Investigators said he left, taking the battery out of Brown’s cell phone.
Deputies said Brown was eventually able to free herself and run to the owner’s home, where they said she discovered Rob Thayer, 64, and his sister, 70-year-old Donna Hall, tied up with duct tape.
Investigators reported the three robbers entered the home with a handgun and a baseball bat. They said one of them hit Thayer with the bat before tying him up.
Deputies said the trio walked out after taking guns, medicine and money from the home.
According to officers, Thayer’s injuries were minor and he was not taken to the hospital.
Descriptions of the suspects are limited, with the victims reporting the three were wearing face masks and camouflage clothing.
The group reportedly drove off in a small, dark colored pickup truck.
