Shayna Hubers’ sentencing is underway

NEWPORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Testimony for the sentencing of Shayna Hubers, who was found guilty of murdering her ex-boyfriend Ryan Poston, is underway.
That testimony started at 10 a.m. On Friday, after Hubers was found guilty Thursday around 11:30 p.m.
Hubers faces a sentence that ranges between 20 years to life for shooting Poston six times in October of 2012.
The defense plans to call Hubers’ mother to the stand to talk about her daughter’s pre-shooting accomplishments.  The prosecution will start with one of Ryan Poston’s three sisters.
The same jury that convicted Hubers in roughly five hours will deliberate Friday and make a sentencing recommendation to Judge Fred Stine.
