Sharing the Lex with William Shatner

Some major celebrity firepower has launched to send Lexington tourism into warp speed,.worldwide icon William Shatner of Star Trek, Boston Legal and fame is lending his brand building, household name to VisitLEX and their "share the Lex" campaign.

Shatner and his wife Elizabeth, an artist, noted horsewoman and philanthropist, are starring in a new VisitLEX 30-second commercial for social media platform, urging viewers to #sharethelex, as well as appearing in a broadcast TV commercial version that will run in cities surrounding Lexington and promoting the Bluegrass as a "must visit" tourism destination.

The Shatners maintain a strong presence in our region, with horses in Versailles and frequent visits to the Bluegrass throughout the year, despite their hectic schedule.  

The commercials  were produced by two Lexington-based creative houses….Cornett advertising, who launched the #sharethelex campaign earlier this year for VisitLEX with  "tongue-in-cheek"  Daniel Boone and Henry Clay videos on social media.

The Shatners installment was shot and edited in the studios of Post Time Productions using the very latest high-end Hollywood caliber equiptment .

ABC 36’s Doug High, who serves on Elizabeth Shatner’s Foundations Board for Equine Therapy for Veterans, brought the Shatners to the project, and produced and directed their new #sharethelex campaign, which is poised to bring even greater awareness around the country about all our city has to offer.
