Several Lexington Robberies Possibly Connected
Three men used a decoy to rob another man in his apartment Friday morning.
According to police, the victim told them he heard a knock at the door at his apartment on Fontaine Road at around 1:30 a.m.
He looked out and saw a man and when he opened the door, the man ran off and three others rushed inside.
The man who knocked at the door reportedly took off in a maroon van but the victim said he did not see how the other three got away.
Just a couple of hour’s later police responded to a second robbery.
The Lexington Police are also searching for three suspects who robbed a Shell station Friday.
The clerk said just before 3 a.m., three men came into the store on Newtown Pike.
Two of the men were wearing masks and had guns.
They demanded cash and took off after getting it. Police believe they got into a car behind the store.
They are going over surveillance video for leads.
