Seven charged in Franklin County, drug crimes and catalytic converter thefts

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – In Franklin County, seven people have been arrested and charged in connection to a string of catalytic converter thefts, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office calls it an organized crime ring that includes other thefts and armed drug trafficking… all fueled by drug addiction.

According to a post on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, the seven people face charges for various crimes dating back to May.

Deputies said search warrants in the Bald Knob have resulted in the recovery of thousands of dollars of stolen property.

Investigators said everyone who was arrested is suspected of being addicted to meth and other drugs.
