UPDATE: Victims identified, one dead, after Sunday crash in Laurel Co.

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman involved in a serious traffic crash on KY 472 Sunday night has died, according to the Laurel Co. Sheriff.

The Sheriff says that 31-year-old Savannah Wyatt, of Manchester, died at UK Hospital at 8:43 p.m. Tuesday night.

52-year-old Terry Riley has been identified as the driver of the pickup truck that ran off the road and down an embankment, before hitting a culvert.  Riley was thrown from the truck and sustained severe injuries.  The Sheriff says Riley is still being treated at the UK Med Center.

The Laurel Co. Sheriff says two people have been sent to UK Med Center with serious injuries after a crash on Johnson Road (KY 472,) at the intersection of Old Way Road.

The accident happened on Sunday night just before 10:00 p.m., according to the Sheriff.

Deputies say that a pickup truck ran off the road and 25 feet down an embankment before hitting a culvert, ejecting one of the two people in the car through the driver’s side window.  The person thrown from the truck has been identified as Terry Riley.

The second person in the truck, a woman, has not been identified, says the Sheriff.

Both were airlifted to UK Med Center.
