Security guard arrested for violent Lexington robbery

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Police have arrested a man they say threw a woman to the ground and robbed early Wednesday morning.

According to police, it happened around one o’clock Wednesday morning on Ward Drive.

They say 38-year-old Brandon Dobbins threw a woman he knew to the ground, implied he had a weapon, and stole money from her.

Police say he drove off, but was arrested about an hour later.

According to police, Dobbins is employed as a security guard.
