Search on for two men who ran from car at end of police chase

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police are looking for two men they say ran from a car at the end of a police chase in Fayette County Wednesday night.

Investigators say it began on Iron Works Pike when Troopers tried to pull over the driver of a red Toyota Camry for speeding.

State Police say instead of pulling over, the driver sped off and led authorities on a chase that ended with the men abandoning the car on Radcliffe Road in Lexington and running off.

Lexington Police joined State Police in the search for the two men.

State Police say it’s too early in the investigation to know why the men refused to pull over and later left the car and ran.

Investigators say after running the car’s license plate, they did learn that the car had not been reported stolen.

State Police say investigators were going to the car owner’s listed address.
