Search is on for prison escapee in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – State corrections officials say an inmate walked away from the minimum security prison in Lexington Tuesday afternoon.

Officials say 56-year old Calvin Myers, was serving 45-years for convictions out of Monroe and Christian counties for mail theft, identity theft, forgery and other charges.

They say he walked away from the Blackburn Correctional Complex around 12:42 p.m.

Calvin Myers is 5’10”, 234 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.

He would have been eligible for parole in March of next year, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections.
