Search on for “Person of Interest” in homicide investigation
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The search is on for a man considered armed and dangerous who is a “person of interest” in a homicide investigation, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say someone was found dead Tuesday afternoon off Hunters Trace, approximately a half-mile west of London. Investigators hope an autopsy will determine the identity along with the cause and manner of death. They say the body was too decomposed to know anything at that time.
Meantime, deputies say they’re looking for 55-year old Kenneth W. Lipscomb, who is listed as a missing person as well as a person of interest in the homicide investigation. He is the homeowner of the residence where the body was found, according to the Laurel Co. Sheriff.
Deputies say since he’s considered armed and dangerous, anyone who spots him should not approach him, but rather call 9-1-1 right away.
Lipscomb is 5’4,” 160-pounds with brown and gray balding short hair.
Deputies say he could be driving a white 2011 Ford F-150 pickup truck with a white camper shell attached and a Kentucky license plate of 568 MMM. Deputies say Lipscomb could possibly be driving a totally different vehicle.
Anyone with information about Lipscomb’s whereabouts or the homicide investigation, is asked to contact the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office at 606-864-6600 or 606-878-7000.
