Search on for man accused of running from Danville Police

DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man accused of running from Danville Police is still on the loose after investigators say he bailed out of his car and ran into the woods near the Garrard-Jessamine County line.

Investigators say they received a tip from the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office that there could be narcotics in a car being driven by 34-year old Travis M. Dailey, of Nicholasville.

Police say they spotted Dailey in the car on Main Street near North 4th Street Sunday afternoon.

They say Dailey refused to pull over and after turning onto 3rd Street, a woman in the passenger seat jumped from the car.  Police say she wasn’t hurt.

Investigators say Dailey continued on to Highway 34.  Police say they pursued Dailey to Highway 27.  Eventually the pursuit came to an end when Dailey came to a dead end on George Wilson Road.

Police say Dailey drove into a field, got out of the car and took off running into a densely wooded area.

Despite an exhaustive search by several law enforcement agencies, Dailey was not found, according to Danville Police.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Danville Police at 859-238-1220.
