Search on for inmate who escaped in Taylor County

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say an inmate from Louisville escaped while being transported from Green County to the Taylor County Jail Monday evening.

Investigators are looking for 25-year old Shawn Cochran.

State Police say he got away from a Green County transportation officer around the Campbellsville Taylor County water company on South Central Avenue around 6:20 p.m.

Cochran is 5’10”, 200 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair.

He was wearing orange pants, a gray shirt, one shoe and was handcuffed with his hands in front at the time of his escape, according to KSP.

Investigators say he ran from police last month when he was charged with a number of offenses, including burglary, theft, parole violation and fleeing and evading.
