UPDATE: Deputies arrest man accused of assaulting paramedic

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Scott County Sheriff’s Office says they have found and arrested Chad Howell.

Deputies say Howell was arrested just after 1 p.m. on Paris Pike. They say he was walking on the road and several home owners called in.

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Scott County Sheriff’s Office says it is looking for a man accused of assaulting a paramedic in the back of an ambulance Monday.

The sheriff’s office says Chad Howell was being transported, when he became combative in the ambulance on Paris Pike near Newtown Pike and Leesburg Road.

Deputies say he assaulted a paramedic, then forced his way out of the ambulance.

Investigators say Howell ran into the nearby wooded area. Deputies and Georgetown Police began using a K9 track, but have not found him.

Deputies have obtained warrants for Howell for assault.

The public is asked to be on the lookout for Chad Howell in the Paris Pike / Newtown Road area and call 911 if he is seen.

Howell has no phone and no means of transportation that deputies know of.

He is also suspected of being under the influence of drugs.  The public should not approach Howell.
