Scott County Sheriff’s Office investigating car thefts, stolen vehicle

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Authorities in Scott County are investigating numerous car thefts in the Longview Drive area.

According to a post on the sheriff’s office’s Facebook page, two cars travel together with multiple suspects getting out, running up to driveways and pulling on door handles.

Law enforcement reminds residents to lock their car doors each night and have their garage door closed.

Police also suspect that a stolen black 2008 BMW 750Li could be related to the Longview Drive thefts, based on the theft’s location.

The car could be in the Franklin, Shelby or Jefferson County area. Authorities say to not approach the vehicle if located and to call 911.
