Scott County man arrested in child sexual exploitation case

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Scott County man was arrested and charged in a child sexual exploitation case, according to State Police. Investigators say 40-year old George M. Brock, Junior was arrested Wednesday on charges related to possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor and prohibited use of electronic communication system to procure a minor/police officer re: sex offenses.

State Police say Brock was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering that Brock was reportedly communicating with minors on a popular social networking website.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Brock’s residence in Georgetown on June 8, 2016. Equipment was seized and is pending a forensic examination, according to State Police.

Brock is currently charged with four counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor and one count of prohibited use of electronic communication system to procure a minor/police officer re: sex offenses, according to KSP. Each charge is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison. Investigators say additional charges are expected.

Brock was lodged in the Scott County Detention Center.
