Scott County dinner series to benefit Yuko-En in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The next Scott County dinner series Seed To Feed takes place Friday, June 29. It’s the second of five in the series.

Each dinner gives back to a different charity. This event benefits Yuko-En on the Elkhorn which is the official Kentucky-Japan Friendship Garden located along Georgetown’s Elkhorn Creek.

“This is our fourth year doing Seed to Feed. We started it to highlight not only great locations in Scott County but Scott County in general,” said Justin Thompson, owner and chef of Local Feed in Georgetown.

Thompson says they wanted to bring in chefs from around the region. This event will feature Julian Stone of Local Feed and Dan Wu of Atomic Ramen in Lexington in a ramen throwdown.

Profits from Friday’s dinner will go back to maintaining the garden at Yuko-En so it can remain free to the public.

Tickets are $65 and include eight dishes, live music by Tsunami Samari out of Louisville and a full cocktail bar.

The event will take place Friday, June 28 from 6-9 p.m. at Yuko-En on the Elkhorn at 700 Cincinnati Road in Georgetown.

Tickets are available for purchase HERE.
