Scott Co. elementary school warns parents of employee illness

GEORGETOWN, Ky (WTVQ)- Principal Housekeeper of Lemons Mill Elementary says that an employee of the school has been hospitalized for several days.

Principal Housekeeper says that the elementary school has worked with the Health Department and followed their directions to clean and disinfect the school.

The statement does not say what kind of illness the employee has.

Here is the statement from the school’s website:

“An employee of Lemons Mill Elementary has been ill and hospitalized for several days.  We have worked in partnership with the health department and have followed the specific directions they provided for cleaning and disinfecting our school.

The health department does not require notice to be sent home with students in this situation as the illness does not warrant a contact investigation.  While my staff and I cannot disclose personal details, I wanted to make you aware and assure you that we have done our due diligence to maintain a safe learning environment for students and staff at Lemons Mill.

We will continue to keep the employee and their family in our thoughts during this difficult time.”
