Scott Co. Detention Center inmates complete several projects

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Scott County Detention Center says that during the month of January, inmates have accomplished several projects.

The detention center says inmates picked up:

-346 bags of trash

-14 tires

-8 syringes

Jail officials say inmates also landscaped, did unit clean outs, maintenance and grounds cleanup for Georgetown Housing Authority.

Inmates also removed Christmas decorations, removed brush, helped in tree removals, and ground cleanups for Public Works. They even built pens to house chickens. The eggs will be used by the detention center to help offset food costs and provide a healthier diet for inmates.
