Schools cancel, delay classes after snow hits Ky.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Several school districts around Kentucky have canceled or delayed classes as snow began to blanket the area.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory until noon for a large area of central Kentucky that called for up to 4 inches of snow in the northern areas and around 1 inch in southern areas. The advisory remains in effect until 4 p.m. for portions of eastern Kentucky.

Snow began falling early Monday in the Louisville area and continued as rush hour traffic began.

After the snow moves out of the area, the weather service says temperatures are expected to drop into the teens by Monday night and highs for Tuesday are in the 20s.
