Satellite built by MSU students will head to space

MOREHEAD, Ky (WTVQ) – On Tuesday NASA made an announcement that a satellite built by Morehead State University students called “Lunar Ice Cube” will be on the new space launch system rocket.

Morehead State officials say it’s called Exploration Mission One is the maiden voyage of the largest rocket ever built. They say it will carry thirteen cube sats on its secondary payload.

MSU student’s satellite will investigate water ice on the lunar surface.
