Rowan County schools go into lock down after threat

ROWAN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Rowan County Schools were temporarily placed on lock down Monday after police say there was a threat against one of the schools.

Kentucky State Police say the threat was made against Rowan County High School Monday morning.

The Rowan County Sheriff says after receiving the threat, schools in Rowan County were locked down for approximately 15 minutes.

Police say they were able to locate the juvenile who made the threat and make an arrest.
