Rockslide closes part of highway in Menifee County

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – A mudslide forced the closure of a highway in Menifee County Monday.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, KY 1274 about a mile and a half from the Rowan County line is shut down as crews work to remove the debris from the mudslide.

The road is expected reopen sometime later in the day, once crews clear the debris.

Until then, drivers are being told to detour using KY 801, US 60, and KY 211 and KY 36 through Farmers and Salt Lick.
