Robbery Suspects In Custody
Four people were taken into custody early Thursday morning in connection to a string of Lexington robberies.
Police arrested four suspects, one adult and three juveniles, for robbing a man just after 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
Police said the man was walking on Simpson Avenue when two men asked to use his phone. Shortly after, the man said the suspects pulled out guns and stole his phone and some cash before running off.
That man ran to a nearby Sonic on South Broadway to call police.
About an hour later, police found the four suspects riding in a car on Pemberton Street.
Inside the car, police said they found the items stolen on Simpson Avenue and two guns.
The car also matched the description of a Buick involved in three robberies on Wednesday morning.
Police said the suspects are being questioned to determine their possible involvement in those crimes.
