UPDATE: Victim identified in deadly crash in Clark County

The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim in a crash on Old Boonesboro Road Thursday morning.

The coroner says he is 73-year-old Roger Lee Justice, of Berea.

According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Justice was driving southbound on Old Boonesboro Road when witnesses say he ran a red light and struck a truck that was turning onto the road.

The sheriff says Justice’s passenger, 67-year-old Veloney Cassidy, suffered a head injury and was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital.

The driver of the truck was taken to Clark County Regional hospital.

His injuries are not known.

The Kentucky Trransportation Cabinet say all lanes of KY 627 at Old Boonesboro Road are back open following a fatal crash Thursday morning.

CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Crews are on the scene of a deadly accident in Clark County.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the crash happened on KY 627 at Old Boonesboro Road.

The cabinet says two lanes of KY 627 are expected to be closed for at least two hours.
