Richmond police officer slightly injured, cruiser damaged in collision

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Richmond police officer was slightly injured and another driver went to the hospital following a collision Thursday afternoon.

Investigators say the collision happened at the intersection of the Eastern Bypass and Gibson Bay Drive.

Police say the police car suffered front-end damage.

A collision reconstruction unit is investigating the cause of the collision.

No names were released.
