Richmond, Lancaster, Somerset, other residents named to early childhood panel

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

— Appointed Judith Hanekamp, Colleen Younger and Fran Carrico as members of the Kentucky Commission on Women.

• Judith Hanekamp of Louisville is retired. She replaces Krista Fennel, whose term has expired. Ms. Hanekamp shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 17, 2025.
• Colleen Younger of Louisville is the Jefferson County PVA. She replaces Sarah Cameron, whose term has expired. Ms. Younger shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 17, 2025.
• Fran Carrico of Springfield is the Washington County PVA. She replaces Brenda Gluck, whose term has expired. Ms. Carrico shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 17, 2025.

— Appointed Michael Dossett, Mike Burke and Larry Potter as members of the Kentucky Emergency Response Commission.

• Michael Dossett of Louisville is the Director of Emergency Management for the Department of Military Affairs. Mr. Dossett shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 24, 2023.
• Mike Burke of Harrisburg is the Deputy State Fire Marshall for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Mr. Burke shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 24, 2023.
• Larry Potter of Mt. Sterling is the Executive Director of the Kentucky State Fire Commission. Mr. Potter shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 24, 2023.

— Appointed Pamela Smith-Wright as a member of the Kentucky Transportation Center Advisory Board.

• Pamela Smith-Wright is a self-employed cosmetologist. She replaces Tanya Seabrooks. Ms. Smith-Wright shall serve the remainder of the unexpired term ending August 10, 2022.

— Appointed Grace-Nicole Burke as a member of the Standards and Assessments Process Review Committee.

• Grace-Nicole Burke is a teacher for the Boyle County Public Schools. She replaces Erin Milburn, who has retired. Ms. Burke shall serve the remainder of the unexpired term ending May 27, 2024.

— Appointed Crystal Lasher-Hurst and Wade White as members of the Kentucky State Board on Electric Generation and Transmission Siting.

• Crystal Lasher-Hurst of Eddyville is Supervisor of Instruction for the Lyon County Board of Education.
• Wade White of Eddyville is the Judge Executive for Lyon County.

— Appointed the following as members of the Early Childhood Advisory Council:

• Greta McKenzie of Russellville, representing the private sector and Congressional District 1, to serve for a term expiring June 30, 2022;
• Amy Hood of Morgantown, representing the private sector and Congressional District 2, to serve for a term expiring June 30, 2023;
• Rina Gratz of Louisville, representing the private sector and Congressional District 3, to serve for a term expiring June 30, 2021;
• Traci Stemmle of Goshen, representing the private sector and Congressional District 4, to serve for a term expiring June 30 2023;
