Retailer Pulls Merchandise At KY Attorney General’s Request

Retailer Urban Outfitters has agreed to pull a line of "prescription products" after a request by Attorney General Jack Conway.

The line of flasks, pill bottles, shot glasses, and beer koozies were made to resemble prescription pill bottles. Conway wrote Urban Outfitters in May demanding it stop selling the merchandise in Kentucky and across the nation.

Urban Outfitters responded saying it would stop selling the merchandise because of its "misinterpretation."

Conway said the products were in no way funny, and made light of an epidemic that kills 1,000 Kentuckians a year.

The only Urban Outfitters store in Kentucky is in Louisville.
