Rest areas temporarily open for I-64 in Woodford/Franklin counties

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says that the east and westbound rest areas are open temporarily.

A renovation project began in January for both facilities that is anticipated to be completed Friday, May 3.

KYTC says the rest area restrooms will be open from now until 7 a.m. on Monday, May 6. The lobbies in both facilities will remain closed, and the vending machines will not be in use.

All work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
