Rescued dog pair recuperating, one ready for adoption
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A pair of dogs rescued from a home in Nicholasville back in February are well on their way to recovery, according to Jessamine Co. Animal Care & Control.
The pair, “Snicker” and “Boo,” were taken from a home on February 17, after an investigation into a complaint that the dogs weren’t being taken care of properly. They were both taken to McCaw’s Vet Clinic for emergency treatment.
Over the past 43 days, vets say they have seen substantial improvement in not only their physical health but also their psychological health. Snicker has gained a total of 19 pounds during his stay at the shelter, while Boo has gained 15 pounds. Vets say Snicker is still healing from some psychological wounds, but that Boo is now ready to find his forever home. Vets are hopeful that a rescue partner will take on Snicker so that he can continue rehabilitating.
If you are interested in adopting Boo or if you are a registered animal rescue group and are interested in pulling Snicker, you can contact the shelter at (859)881-0821.
